Rachel has been racing full-time as a professional triathlete since 2011. She is a two-time 70.3 Champion and has numerous podium results in Olympic and long distance triathlon, including 3rd place at the 2013 ITU Long Distance World Championships and 9th place at 2014 70.3 World Championships.
Known as the “purple tiger,” she is one of the strongest cyclists on the world circuit. She is a three-time course record holder -- Ironman 70.3 Calgary, Canadian National Championships and Squamish Triathlon. On the bike, accomplishments include six-time Ironman 70.3 first-off-the-bike and eight-time Ironman 70.3 fastest bike split.
Along with a soft spot for cats and tattoos, Rachel is a board-certified Genetic Counsellor with two graduate degrees in genetics. She is an accomplished cellist and works in sexual health education, counselling and advocacy in beautiful Vancouver, Canada, where she lives and trains.
